Winter-Ready Checklist

Prepare your vehicle for the toughest season of the year. During a winter check-in or regular service appointment, our certified Technicians will ensure your vehicle is in peak condition for cold weather and challenging driving conditions. They will perform a 12V Battery Health Check to guarantee your battery can withstand freezing temperatures, inspect your brakes and brake components for optimal performance on icy roads, and check the condition of your wiper blades to ensure clear visibility through snow and sleet. If necessary, we'll recommend replacements with parts designed to withstand the harshest winter conditions.

Battery Inspection and Replacement

Cold weather can severely affect your vehicle's battery. Our technicians will test your battery's health, ensuring it has enough power to get you through the winter. If needed, we offer a wide range of Genuine Toyota Batteries.

Tire Inspection and Winter Tires

Switching to winter tires is one of the most crucial steps for winter driving. We inspect your tires for tread depth and pressure, and we offer tire rotations, balancing, and winter tire installation to ensure maximum traction on snow and ice-covered roads.  When the weather drops below 7^oC, it's time to switch to winter tires. They significantly outperform summer and all-season tires at lower temperatures because winter tires use a softer rubber compound that helps them grip cold or icy pavement. Plus, their specially-designed treads are better at channelling slush and snow away to improve the traction you have on the road and around corners, as well as your stopping distance when you brake.

Tip: Check your tire tread depth by inserting a quarter (caribou's nose pointing inwards) into your tire tread groove. If you can see the tip of the caribou's nose (less than 2/32"), it may be time Bring Your Toyota Home to replace the tire.

Brake Inspection

Icy roads put your brakes to the test. We provide a full inspection of your braking system to ensure optimal performance. If needed, we'll replace your brake pads with Toyota-approved parts to maintain safety.

Coolant and Antifreeze Check

Keeping your engine running smoothly in freezing temperatures is critical. We check your coolant levels and top up with Toyota-approved antifreeze to prevent engine freezing and ensure your engine stays protected.

Oil Change

Cold weather can make engine oil thicker and less effective. A winter oil change with Toyota-approved oil keeps your engine running smoothly, even on the coldest days.

Windshield and Wiper Blade Check

Winter visibility is key. We'll check your wipers and recommend replacements if they are worn. We'll also top off your windshield washer fluid with a winter-grade solution to prevent freezing and keep your windshield clear.

Heating and Defroster Inspection

Don't get caught in the cold! We'll inspect your heating system and defroster to ensure they're working properly, so you stay warm and your windows stay clear.

Underbody Rust Protection

Winter roads are often treated with salt, which can cause rust on your vehicle's underbody. Protect your vehicle with undercoating and ensure its longevity.
