Since its debut, the Toyota Corolla Cross has been a hit. The small SUV from the Japanese automaker benefits from the brand's solid reputation. The choice of the name "Corolla" also plays a significant role. Toyota’s decision to use this name is no coincidence; it’s a quality guarantee in itself.

Unsurprisingly, the model is back for 2025 with a few small updates. Notably, Toyota has added a new color to the lineup: Crimson Spirit Crystal, one of the most stunning shades of red in the industry. In case you didn’t guess, this color comes straight from Mazda’s catalog. This addition is possible because the Corolla Cross is assembled in the same factory as the Mazda CX-50.

In total, the Japanese automaker’s small SUV will be available in eight different configurations for 2025.

Hybrid or Non-Hybrid Options

The 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross offers two mechanical options. The base version features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Buyers can choose between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, with average fuel consumption of 7.3 L/100 km for the former and 7.8 L/100 km for the latter.

Next is the hybrid version. It combines a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors, delivering a total of 195 horsepower. All-wheel drive comes standard here. The most impressive aspect is its fuel efficiency, with an average consumption of just 5.6 L/100 km, making it one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class.

Slight Price Increase

Let’s talk about pricing, as it has slightly increased for 2025. The small SUV now costs an average of $1,000 more per version. Fortunately, it remains very affordable, with a starting price of $31,359.
