High River Toyota is immediately seeking licensed Automotive Technicians.

While working within our service department with modern equipment and a dedicated team, the ideal candidate must have the ability to combine automotive expertise with good customer skills. The ideal candidate must also be willing to learn and keep up-to-date with industry standards while contributing to making our facility a leader in the automotive service industry.

Position Overview: The successful applicant will be responsible for executing all of the tire related services as outlined below.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Perform work as assigned on work order with efficiency, safety and accuracy in accordance with dealership, factory and regulatory standards
  • Ability to diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and peform repairs in a timely manner
  • Fix it right the first time mentality
  • Perform road tests
  • Providing written, prioritized quotations for necessary additional work
  • Notify the service advisor and customer of additional maintenance work as required
  • Perform daily bay inspections
  • Maintain company and your own equipment and tools in good repair
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the operation, maintenance and repair of all makes and models
  • Follow dealership health & safety program and observe provincial occupational health & safety regulations; report any observed or potential hazards immediately
  • Participate/complete all training by Toyota in a timely manner

Skills/Qualifications Required:
  • Mechanical background/knowledge
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Provide Clean Drivers Abstract upon request
  • Provide Clean Police Information Check upon request
  • Provide proof of License/Credentials upon request
  • Bring/provide your own tools as required
  • Ability to provide professional customer service
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to complete tasks according to instructions and demonstrate responsibility for outcomes
  • Toyota experience is an asset
  • Out of Province Permit is an asset

High River Toyota is immediately seeking an experienced tire technician.

Experienced with tire mounting and balancing, tire repairs, custom wheels, wheel torquing and other basic shop skills are required and must be supported with a resume with references to be considered for this position.

Position Overview: The successful applicant will be responsible for executing all of the tire related services as outlined below.

Tire & Wheel:
  • Tire Repairs -- responsible for determining the best method of repair and then completing the task or making recommendations for replacement if required
  • Installation -- perform installation and balancing of new tires and wheels while ensuring that all check-points have been covered such as proper inflation, direction of rotation, etc.
Tire Shop Related:
  • Ensuring work area is kept well organized including cleaning/sweeping daily
  • Preparing tire installations for the next day's appointments in a proactive manner
  • Ensure that all equipment and general parts required for tire services are well maintained and kept in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Other shop duties as directed by our shop foreman
Customer Service:
  • Provide a detailed explanation and recommendation for repair or replacement of tires, wheels or other components
  • Ensure customer vehicle is kept clean and free from any damage while in our care
  • Take ownership of your work and strive to ensure that all necessary work is completed to ensure customer satisfaction and zero return-defects
Skills/Qualifications Required:
  • Able to take direction and complete tasks as assigned in a timely and efficient basis
  • Willingness to learn and take additional training
  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities on a daily basis
  • Able to work independently and cohesively as a team member
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to +100 lbs
  • Must be available to work full-time, 5 days a week.
  • A valid driver's license/driver's abstract and the ability to correctly operate a manual transmission vehicle
