What About EV Service?

Electric vehicles like the Toyota bZ are simpler in some ways -- and smarter in others.

No oil changes
No engine oil, spark plugs, or exhaust systems to worry about.

Fewer moving parts
Less wear and tear compared to traditional gas vehicles.

More tech to monitor
EVs rely on advanced battery systems, electric motors, software, and cooling components -- all of which need periodic inspection.

What Happens During an EV Service Appointment?

When you book an EV service appointment, our factory-trained Toyota technicians check things like:

  • Inspect lighting, wipers, and horn for proper operation
  • Check tire tread depth and tire rotation (if applicable)
  • Tire wear for signs of alignment issues (EVs are heavier and torque hits differently)
  • Steering gear, linkage and shock absorbers
  • Inspect ball joints, dust covers, driveshafts, underbody for damage
  • Inspect for leaks where applicable - brake fluid, coolant lines for BEV traction battery, eAxle(s), inverter(s), converter(s) and top up windshield washer fluid
  • Brake system check (EV brakes last longer -- but still matter)
  • General safety inspection

It's all about preventive care, so small things never turn into big ones.

Why Regular EV Check-Ins Matter

Your EV is incredibly efficient -- but regular service helps:

  • Maximize driving range

  • Protect long-term battery health

  • Ensure optimal charging performance

  • Keep safety systems working properly

  • Maintain warranty requirements

A little attention now keeps your EV happy for the long haul.
